Before submitting a report, you can try to resolve the issue yourself:

  1. Check local regulations:
    Make sure you are aware of and comply with local legislation regarding waste collection and disposal. Different areas have different rules regarding waste sorting, collection dates, etc.
  2. Separate your waste:
    Make sure you sort your waste according to local rules. In many places you are required to separate waste into different categories such as plastic, glass, paper, residual and bulky waste.
  3. Try to minimise waste:
    Consider whether there are ways to reduce the amount of waste you produce. For example, you could avoid disposable packaging, use reusable products, compost organic waste, etc.
  4. Clean regularly:
    Keeping your home tidy on a regular basis can help you prevent excessive waste build-up.

  1. Locate the blockage:
    Identify where the blockage is located.
  2. Clear the drain:
    Use a drain unblocker, available at any supermarket or DIY store, to try to resolve the issue. Please read the instructions on the packaging.

If you still have a problem with the blocked drain, please contact Workinn Rental by sending an email to support@workinnrental.eu with photos of the problem.

Before submitting a report, you can try to resolve the issue yourself:

  1. Check the thermostat settings:
    Make sure the thermostat is set to the correct temperature and operating mode. Incorrect settings can sometimes cause problems. At least every 3 hours you should press the thermostat to activate the boiler, or the temperature must drop below the set minimum.
  2. Check the heating boiler:
    Make sure the boiler is switched on. Try resetting it for 10 seconds by unplugging the cable. Reconnect and check whether everything is working correctly.
  3. Check the pressure in the heating boiler:
    The water pressure gauge must be at least 1.5 bar — never lower.

    Make sure all cables are securely connected. Ensure all devices such as routers and modems are switched on.
  2. Restart network devices:
    Switch off your router and modem, wait 30 seconds, then switch them back on. This simple action can often resolve minor issues.
  3. Check other devices:
    Try connecting to the internet with another device to see whether the problem is limited to one piece of hardware.
  4. Test your connection speed:
    Use an internet speed test tool to check whether your speed matches your ISP contract.
  5. Check your network settings:
    Verify that the network settings on your device are correct. Incorrect settings can sometimes cause connection problems.
  6. Update the software:
    Make sure the software on your router and other network devices is up to date.

Important first steps in case of leakage

These are important first steps you should take:

Check general water supply:

If there is no water from the tap, check whether your neighbours are experiencing the same problem. It is possible that maintenance work is being carried out by water suppliers in the Netherlands:

  • Dunea (South Holland / Brabant)
  • Waterstoring.nl (South Holland / Brabant / North Brabant)
  • PWN (North Holland)
In case of flooding / water leakage:
  1. Locate the source of the leak:
    Try to find where the water is leaking from. It could be a leaking pipe, a leaking window, roof, or even a problem with a household appliance.
  2. Safety first:
    If water is leaking near electrical sources, check whether you are at risk of electric shock. If so, switch off the power in that part of the property.
  3. Stop the water supply:
    If possible, try to stop the water supply by closing the valves or levers near the leak. This may include valves at appliances, a water meter or the main stopcock.
  4. Collect the water:
    Use a mop, bucket, towels or other available materials to collect the water and minimise damage to the floor and other surfaces.
  5. Move valuables:
    If water is leaking near valuable items, try to move or secure them to prevent damage.
  6. Open windows and doors:
    If safe to do so, open windows and doors to improve ventilation and speed up the drying process.
  7. Notify other residents:
    If you share the property with others, let them know about the situation so everyone is aware and can avoid risk areas.
  8. Document the damage thoroughly:
    Take photos or videos documenting the leak and any damage, then send all information to support@workinnrental.eu

    Make sure all electrical appliances are switched off and that the power to the area or appliance has been cut.
  2. Check the fuse box:
    Check the fuse box and find the fuses responsible for the affected area. If any fuse has tripped, switch it back on.
  3. Check for overload:
    If electrical problems started after connecting a new appliance, make sure the circuit is not overloaded. Check the power consumption of the appliance and compare it with the maximum load of the circuit. If the appliance draws too much power and multiple devices share a fuse, it will trip for safety.
  4. Check for damage:
    Look for visible signs of damage such as burned sockets, broken wires or scratches around the electrical system.
  5. Switch off appliances:
    Turn off all nearby electrical appliances and then switch the power back on. Sometimes problems are caused by temporary faults, and resetting can help.
  6. Check with your neighbours:
    If the problem affects the whole building or area, ask your neighbours whether they are also experiencing power issues. This can help you determine whether the problem is specific to your property or more widespread.
